Jams

As we reopen after the lockdown, jams are slowly returning to HUGE Theater. If you are interested in leading a jam for an affinity group, please let ups know. In the past, we have hosted groups that organized a Queer Jam; an Amplifying Voices jam for women, trans, nonbinary and queer improvisors; a Latinx jam, a jam for people with disabilities, a world jam, and a jam open to everyone.

For all events at HUGE, proof of vaccination and masks are required. Information on our full COVID policy is kept up-to-date here.

Here are the jams that groups are currently hosted at HUGE:

The objective of the BIPOC improv jam is to bring together Black people, Indigenous people, and people of color who may or may not know about improv to learn more about it and build community with each other. The jam is all ages, free of charge, and there is absolutely no experience required.

This is a closed event for BIPOC only. There will not be a performance, but, if you identify as BIPOC, you’re welcome to just come to watch — though we encourage you to join in on the fun! It’s meant to be relaxed, playful, fun, and easy.

Last Sunday of the month, 4-6pm. 2021 dates: September 26, October 31, November 28 and December 26

Got any questions? email John Gebretatose, Diversity and Inclusion Director of HUGE Theater, at John@hugetheater.com.

Welcome back to the 40+ Improv Jam. If you are over 40 this is a safe place to play. The third Sunday of every month from 4pm to 6pm. Please join us! This is a free event.
